Porsche 911, 964 and 993 Carrera Plug & Play Throttle Body Kit

AT Power has developed a unique range of Direct to Head throttle bodies for the Porsche 911, 964 and 993, Air-Cooled Classics. The air-cooled range suits our “Patented-Shaft-Less” throttle technology perfectly.
Our existing design helps to increase air flow dramatically thus minimising air flow separation resulting in higher volumetric efficiency, more Horse power, Torque and vastly increased throttle response.
We have now developed our own Plug and Play throttles kit for the 964 Carrera with the help of two specialists.
We were provided with a 964 from Porsche specialist, Williams Crawford Porsche and have worked closely, for the past few months, with local ECU supplier and customer, Specialist Components, to develop and test a complete plug and play kit.
Finally, the testing is over, and the results have been remarkably outstanding regarding the improvements to performance and driveability of an already well tuned car. We now have all the right parts in all the right places.
This is the first time we have had the opportunity to develop a car in-house and the results speak for themselves. These beautifully engineered, aerospace grade, billet aluminium, direct to head throttle bodies are a “Must Have” for the Porsche 964 owner.
This pristine technology and Knife-edged butterflies have improved the airflow and performance significantly. With the blade very close to the inlet valve, the engine and throttle response is vastly improved.

DYNO:
Dyno Results From Test Car
Above is dyno data from the development car we used to test this kit. The car used was a Standard Porsche Carrera 2, 3.6L 964 engine and was kindly donated by Williams Crawford Porsche. The Dyno Graph shows the cars existing horse power reading before any throttles were installed. This recorded 243.5 HP for a 20 year old car while the Factory Standard is 247 HP. The AT Power throttles kit was then added and was run on the dyno again, resulting in a remarkable increase to 289.3 HP – (45.8 HP). The road test of this vehicle over an average of 6 timed runs found the following gains in throttle response.
20-50 mph - 2 Gear – Standard car 4.2 (s) AT Power – 3.8 (s)
30-60 mph - 3 Gear – Standard car 6.1 (s) AT Power – 5.05 (s)
With the AT Power Throttles installed, and a base map run from the dyno with no other modifications, the car increased in Horse Power, Torque, Driveabilty, Throttle Response and also added an incredible sound track.
Weight Reduction
Due to the removal of existing OEM parts and the introduction of light weight Billet aluminium parts, we have found a reduction in weight of 10.5 kilos.

NOTE:
The kit comes with a full colour installation guide which includes the fuel lines install details.This system has been designed to be a “bolt on kit” with absolutely NO modifications required to the car thus allowing it to be returned to its original condition.
